Raymond Chik, PhD is a chip design engineer, entrepreneur, and angel investor. He co-founded Untether AI and Hepzibah AI, both focused on building efficient AI/ML compute chips, and has helped launch and exited several other semiconductor startups since 1999.
Raymond chairs the HardTech Investor Network Advisory Board and serves as Vice Chair of the IEEE AI Hardware & Infrastructure Working Group. He also mentors founders through programs like the U of T Engineering Hatchery.
He and Untether AI received the ACCE Best Startup Award in 2022. He holds a PhD in ECE from the University of Toronto.
