We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven and creative leader who is an expert in digital marketing and eCommerce. The Sr. Director, Marketing will not only provide leadership to our Marketing team but will also be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive and compelling marketing, branding and communications strategy to drive revenues & growth at GSL.


This role will have a number of accountabilities, including but not exclusive to those listed below:

  • Oversee the strategy and development of innovative marketing programs that drive growth, brand affinity and advocacy
  • Plan and direct all marketing projects, objectives and initiatives that directly contribute to delivering sales and profitability targets
  • Identify changes in the marketing environment or competitive strategies and evaluate, adjust and/or redraft the marketing plan and philosophy accordingly
  • Identify and propose key growth strategies, business solutions and other opportunities based on data, trends and consumer insights
  • Develop integrated marketing strategies using consumer insights that inform marketing plans, as well as test the effectiveness of marketing activities
  • Lead and manage the marketing team, including all areas of content marketing, digital marketing and sports marketing
  • Identify and structure strategic marketing partnerships that elevate the brand and expand our audience
  • Collaborate with multiple leaders and key stakeholders across the organization; partner with Sales, Entertainment & Fan Experience teams to develop and support various initiatives, including partnerships with professional sports teams, leagues, athletes and performers
  • Execute and analyze a variety of multi-channel guest-focused marketing campaigns and activities, establishing and maintaining brand standards across all platforms
  • Build best-in-class marketing programs based on prioritization and annual organizational goals, as well as developing processes and marketing framework for smooth execution across all functions
  • Manage, track and report on all KPIs in order to measure the success of the marketing strategy
  • Collaborate closely with Tech & IT teams to manage eCommerce/apps and drive further development, and optimize the user experience across all digital platforms


  • Degree in Marketing, Business or Communications (or similar field of study)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated success leading marketing programs
  • 5+ years in a senior marketing management role
  • Previous experience aligning marketing strategies to community initiatives, to build strong relationships and boost brand awareness
  • Hands on experience developing and implementing strategies to help evolve the overall marketing efforts of the organization
  • Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Successful track record of negotiating and managing strategic partnerships
  • Deep understanding of cultural landscape and highly in tune with current events and trends
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and executional level; ideate and directly execute
  • Ability to understand market trends, customer needs and competitive intelligence data
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, etc.

COMPENSATION: will be commensurate with experience
