2007 Awards Presentation Honours

Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs

Markham, ON Saturday March 24, 2007 – This evening, the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs (ACCE), in association with the Centennial College Centre of Entrepreneurship, the Ontario Ministry of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Ming Pao Daily News, and the Canadian Federation of Independent Business honoured outstanding Chinese Canadian entrepreneurs from across Canada in eight categories. The co-chairs of this year’s event are Mr. Norman Morris, Director, International Affairs, Rogers Publishing Ltd Ms. Catherine Swift, Chairwoman of Canadian Federation of Independent Business, and Ms. Joanna Lo, President of the ACCE.

The Awards Presentation Gala provides a platform for recognizing Chinese Canadians who have started their businesses and contributed to Canada at large.  Most important of all, we hope this will foster the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and corporate citizenship.  By hosting this event since 1997, we help to promote entrepreneurship amongst Chinese Canadians and provide positive reinforcement for aspiring entrepreneurs.  Last year, we were honoured to have our Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, to join our event and to address us with the welcoming speech.
