President Letter
Ever since winning the ACCE Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2005, I have been actively serving the association as Vice President for Association Development and Chair of the Winners Club. I have learned from many of the past presidents, winners and directors, that the spirit of giving back to the community is important and sets a role model for the rest of us to follow. I shall also apply my philosophy of the 5 F's culture ( Fast, Focus, Flexible, Friendliness and Fun) and bring the association to the next level.
I am honoured to be elected the President of the Association in September 2008. I am indeed fortunate to have many fellow directors of the board who are outstanding professionals in their own right, very experienced and full of passion, to serve the association alongside with me. Our mission is to promote entrepreneurship in the Chinese Canadian community, to recognize the contribution of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs, to encourage new business start-ups and to promote social responsibilities.
The Association has achieved many milestones especially in the spirit of entrepreneurship through organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, golf tournaments, business forums, CEO receptions and other special networking programs. These events have attracted many new members in all categories, be they corporate, individual, or youth. One of the Association's long-term goals is the development of young entrepreneurs through special programs.
This coming year, the Chinese Canadian Entrepreneur Awards Gala will be held on 4th April at the Hilton Suite Hotel, Markham. This signature event recognizes the excellence and the achievements of Chinese entrepreneurs in the community. As always, the Association is appreciative of the support provided by the major sponsors, the business community, judging panel, the media and the government. As well, the hard work by our dedicated volunteers must also be acknowledged.
We look forward to working with you. So, please join me to serve for the best interest of entrepreneurs in our community, and share with me my vision for the future of the Association.
